RoHS Policy
As a manufacturer in the electronics and electronic equipment industry, International Light Technologies is committed to conducting business in a manner that respects, preserves, and improves the environment.
In
recent years, there are increasing concerns for environmental
conservation globally. The Directive 2002/95/EC on the Restriction of the use
of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic
equipment (RoHS) was issued in February 2003. The RoHS
directive restricts the use of the following substances
on products sold into European markets from July 1,
2006:
• Lead
• Mercury
• Cadmium
• Hexavalent Chromium
• Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)
• Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)
Sources Products: All of our LED products
are now fully compliant. Our lampholders are also in
full compliance. A lot of our lamps are not in compliance,
but we do offer a lead-free compliant version for nearly
every product available. We will continue to offer product
that is not in compliance as certain industries have
exemptions on RoHS and we do supply lamps to them. We
also have several customers who do not sell into the
European market.
Systems Products: Because our products
are used as measurement devices there is an exemption
on RoHS compliance. However, we are developing all our
new products to be compliant and retro designing our
older products when resources are available. We expect
to have all our products fully compliant in the next
few years.
If you have a question or a concern about a certain
product please contact our RoHS
Department for status on that product.
More information on RoHS is available from the
official RoHS website.
