µMoles/m2/s (µEinsteins/m2/s) / Lux Converter
(Photosynthetic Photon Flux (PPF) / Illuminance
)

STEP 1: This is the number you are converting FROM. This should be a Photosynthetic Photon Flux (PPF) READING you took in µMoles/m2/s (also called µEinsteins/m2/s) or an Illuminance READING you took in Lux. (lm/m2) or lux (lm/m2).The calculator will automatically convert to the opposite units based on the type of light that was measured. You may enter the number to be converted either as a decimal (i.e. "0.000341") or as a number in scientific notation (i.e. "3.41e-04"). When using scientific notation, make sure you type the "e" before the exponent. Please select which type of units this number is representative of µMoles/m2/s (µEinsteins/m2/s) or Lux.

STEP 2: Please select the type of light that you measured to get the input number you used in Step 1. The choices given are the most commonly encountered plant growth light sources: Sun light, cool white fluorescents, plant growth fluorescents (gro-lux), high pressure sodium vapor, low pressure sodium vapor, high pressure metal halide, and a 100 watt incandescent tungsten halogen bulb.

Output: This is the number, units, and light source type you specified from steps 1 and 2, converted to the opposite units (i.e. µMoles/m2/s (µEinsteins/m2/s) to lux or lux to µMoles/m2/s (µEinsteins/m2/s).
