Pharmaceutical

Pharmaceutical products that are light sensitive will degrade when expose to light. The reaction to light can cause impurities to develop and an overall degradation of the performance of the drug. Some impurities may lead to risk of harm to a patients health.  Most light sensitive pharmaceutical products are adversely effected by light output in the range of 300-500 nm.   Common applications include testing: light filters in the packaging area, formula resistance/stability during research and development, transmission /blocking of packaging materials, degradation of product during exposure, verifying proper light levels for workers and more.

ILT offers a variety of systems for short term/immediate results as well as long term studies of both the irradiance (w/cm2) and lux. For solar exposure testing we have systems capable of measuring the UVA, UVB and Blue/Visible exposure as well as spectrometers for testing lamp and solar spectral distribution and intensity.
